Actiflow™
Purpose
ActiFlow is a high-performance STPP designed to disperse clay particles efficiently in ceramic slurry preparation. It reduces viscosity, improves flow, optimizes particle packing, and lowers overall water demand. The ActiFlow range includes special STPP grades developed for ceramic slurry deflocculation, providing complete rheology control.
How to Use
ActiFlow should be added directly into the ceramic slurry during blunging or early in the milling cycle. Start with a low dosage and increase gradually until the desired viscosity, fluidity, and density are achieved. It works best when introduced before the slurry reaches full solids loading, ensuring complete dispersion of clay and non-plastic particles. Dosage varies based on the slurry composition, and care should be taken to avoid over-addition, which may lead to over-thinning or sedimentation. For the glaze variants in the ActiFlow STPP range, the material should be incorporated during glaze preparation to obtain controlled deflocculation and smooth flow.
